Is chiropractic part of your strategy to boost your immune system and stay clear of, or recover quickly from colds this winter?
If not, this might change your mind:
You Get A BUG KILLING BOOST WITHIN 2 HOURS AFTER BEING ADJUSTED!
A scientific study was performed at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (1) which showed after having your spine adjusted there is a significant boost in white blood cells. These white blood cells travel along your bloodstream, patrolling your body for bad guys. More specifically, the type of white blood cells produced after an adjustment are called Lymphocytes. They create antibodies to fight against bacteria, viruses, and other potentially harmful invaders.
You can think of it this way: a chiropractic adjustment increases the number of soldiers in your body to fight the battle for normal health again.
How is this possible? How can a chiropractic adjustment boost my immune system?
Your immune system is controlled by your nervous system. Chiropractic adjustments remove stress off of your nervous system, allowing it to function to its full capacity and therefore control and coordinate your immune system better.
Is chiropractic a cure for the cold?
No, it just helps you put up a stronger fight.
Something Important For You To Know:
When I am fighting a cold and then get an adjustment, I often find that my cold symptoms get worse - temporarily! Did chiropractic make me worse?!
What happens is that by getting a boost to my immune system, my body can wage a stronger war against the virus inside me - leading to increased symptoms (runny nose, coughing, hacking, sneezing, increased body temperature) These are all normal things for my body to do to win the war faster.
Next time you start feeling a little something coming along, you might want to consider getting adjusted.
